Putāruru Gravity Mains Project
South Waikato District Council will be upgrading the wastewater pipes in Putāruru, to cater to increasing wastewater volume due to population growth.
This is part of the Putāruru Wastewater Pipe Upgrade Programme, where Council recently completed the wastewater pipe upgrade inside Lorraine Moller Reserve. We anticipate that construction work will begin by April this year and will take approximately two to three months to complete.
We are in the process of evaluating all tenders received and will award the contract in due course. The construction works will take place in the Putāruru CBD, specifically along Main Street, Princes Lane, and Arapuni Street crossing Princes Street. During this time, certain roads will be closed or have limited access, and traffic management will be in place. We are considering various options that will cause the least amount of disruption to businesses and residents. More information will be provided closer to the date.
