Following a hearing, Independent Commissioners granted resource consent RM240001 subject to conditions for Tahua Properties Limited to establish and operate retail activities within the General Residential Zone with associated signage, building setback, access, noise and parking non-compliances at 69A Main Road, Tīrau.
No appeals were received on the decision and Tahua Properties Limited are now able to implement their resource consent.
When implementing their resource consent, Tahua Properties Limited must meet the conditions of the consent imposed by the Commissioners. Council will also undertake monitoring of the site as works progress to ensure these are met.
The buildings to be constructed also require building consent under the Building Act 2004.
Council will provide updates on the works as they progress.
