Congratulations Tokoroa i-SITE
Congratulations to the Tokoroa i-SITE team for being one of just three i-SITEs in New Zealand to score 100% in the Qualmark Mystery Shopper Awards!
"We are thrilled to share this accolade with the likes of New Plymouth and South Taranaki i-SITEs," said Garry Brunton of Switched On Tourism and the Tokoroa i-SITE Manager for the past 16 years. "The average score across the 83 i-SITEs nationwide was 75%."
"Mr Brunton and his team - Mary Winikerei, Rose Burton and Rae Tonge - have consistently offered this district a fantastic service at the Tokoroa i-SITE for over a decade," said Cindy Kent, Council's Acting Community Development Manager. "The team's quality and professional service ensures residents and visitors to our district get the information they need when they need it."
"In addition to providing the normal i-SITE functions, our Tokoroa i-SITE also manages the 0800 NO TAGS anti-tagging hotline, and from time to time staff even give tours of the nearby Talking Poles," continued Mrs Kent. "It's a quality service all round."
"The Tokoroa i-SITE embraces i-SITE New Zealand's branding '100% Pure Welcome'," said Mr Brunton. "We aim to help all visitors and ratepayers with whatever enquiry they have. We hope to add real value to their lives after leaving the i-SITE. The score reflects on the team as a whole delivering the 100% Pure Welcome - it is a shared result."
Just some of the criteria the Mystery Shopper checked during the visit included providing additional advice, clear recommendations, enthusiasm, initial greeting, up-selling, presentation of the facility both inside and out, appearance of staff and presentation of displays.
"We are thrilled they found no fault!" said Mr Brunton with a broad smile.
The Tokoroa i-SITE is funded by Council as part of its commitment to tourism and district promotion.
