Help assess applications for Creative Communities Scheme funding
South Waikato District Council is looking for people to help assess the applications for Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) funding.
What's the CCS?
The Creative Communities Scheme is a partnership between Creative New Zealand and South Waikato District Council.
The CCS provides funding to support a wide range of arts projects under the following art forms: craft/object arts, dance, inter-arts, literature, Māori Arts, multi-artform (including film), music, Pacific Arts, theatre and visual arts.
Applications for Round 1 opened 26 August 2025 and will close on 24 October 2025. You can read more about it here.
What’s involved?
- You’ll be a part of the Committee that will assess applications for funding from artistic individuals and community groups.
- You'll attend assessment committee meetings to deliberate your findings and allocate funding (2 per year).
- Please note that this is a nominated position and someone in the community will have to nominate you. You can find the link to download the nomination form below.
Who/What is needed?
- People who know what’s happening in the Arts locally
- People who have experience in one or more forms of Art
- People with specific cultural knowledge relevant to the Arts
