This Wednesday 24 September 2025, a South Waikato District Council meeting will consider decisions on behalf of our community.
This is the final meeting before the end of this Council's term and there are a number of reports scheduled to be presented to Council. These include end-of-term presentations from the following Committees and Boards.
- Audit, Risk & Improvement Committee
- Tirau Community Board
- Growth & Infrastructure Committee
- Local Services Committee
- Community Investment Committee
Council will also take decisions on the following:
- Adoption of the 2024-25 Annual Report
- Fraud and Corruption Policy
- Road naming for Strathmore, Overdale and Ruru Developments
- Putāruru Wastewater Treatment Plant Denitrification Project

Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting from 9.30am at the Council Chamber in Tokoroa or watch the meeting via live stream by clicking here.
Any member of the public wishing to speak at the Speaker Forum before the meeting commences will need to notify Council by 1PM, Tuesday 23 September in order to be able to speak on the day. Each speaker is permitted up to five minutes to address the Council. Requests made after the cutoff date and time are subject to the Chair's discretion.
