Applications open for Community Investment Contracts

The South Waikato District Council is now inviting applications from eligible groups for Community Investment Contracts.

The grants, which will be open to applicants until 23 September 2025, are split into two sections based on criteria.

The Community Investment pool consists of the following streams.

- Community Vibrancy

- Arts Culture and creativity

- Capability and Capacity Development

A separate Creative Community Communities fund is also available, centered on supporting local arts and cultural projects.

In addition to application forms being available at southwaikato.govt.nz, or in hard copy form at Council facilities, Council will also be holding in-person sessions to assist groups with the application process.

The dates and venues for the in-person sessions are as follows:

Tokoroa | Tuesdays from 10am-1pm at Te Tira (43 Swanston Street)

Putāruru | Wednesdays from 10am-1pm at Putāruru Library

Tīrau | Thursdays from 10am-1pm at The Dog
