This Wednesday 30 July 2025, a South Waikato District Council meeting will consider decisions on behalf of our community.
Among the topics scheduled to be presented to Council and/or discussed are:
- Water Service Delivery Plan that will seek Council's approval to adopt the draft Water Services Delivery Plan in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government (Water Services Preliminary Arrangements) Act 2024.
- Proposed District Plan Change No.4 – Urban Growth: This report presents the final draft of the contents of a proposed change to the South Waikato District Plan under the Resource Management Act 1991 (the RMA), to provide for additional residential, commercial and industrial land in Tirau, Putāruru and Tokoroa townships.

Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting from 9.30am at the Council Chamber in Tokoroa or watch the meeting via live stream by clicking here.
Any member of the public wishing to speak at the Speaker Forum before the meeting commences will need to notify Council by 1PM, Tuesday 29 July in order to be able to speak on the day. Each speaker is permitted up to five minutes to address the Council. Requests made after the cutoff date and time are subject to the Chair's discretion.
