Election results
The local elections for the South Waikato District are held every three years by postal vote. The elections determine who will become the Mayor of the district, Councillors for one of three Wards and local Community Board Members for Tirau. Elected Members make decisions on behalf of all in the South Waikato.
2025 Final Results
The final result for the South Waikato District Council elections held on Saturday 11th October is as follows. The voter return was 45.83%, being 7,596 votes, including special votes.
