Back by popular demand, the Top Dog competition returns to South Waikato District Council for the third year running from Monday, 13 April - in preparation for the dog registration season in June.
The Top Dog promotion encourages local dog owners to submit a picture of their pooch on Facebook to be into win title of ‘Top Dog’. The winner takes away a complimentary dog registration, certificate and framed photo from a professional photoshoot. The runner ups both receive a complimentary dog registration as well.
Kicking off from Monday, 13 April for two weeks - entries close Friday, 24 April. From here, a selected panel of judges will choose their collective top five entries, which will go to a people’s choice vote. Voting on the finalist dogs will close and winners will be announced on Friday 8 May.
A heap of spot prizes will also be up for grabs throughout the promotion via the South Waikato District Council social media pages, thanks to the very generous sponsorship from local veterinary clinic VetOra Tokoroa. Spot prizes include goodies such as doggy treats, drink bottles, key chains, dog leads, grooming tools, treatment vouchers - as well as flea and worming treatments.
