First-ever Wings & Wheels event is ready for take-off
From 10am to 2pm on Saturday 7 March, the Tokoroa Airfield on Moffat Rd will be alive with action and aircraft – celebrating our local aviation and motorsport communities in the South Waikato.
A free event for all with plenty of parking available, Wings & Wheels will feature an aircraft fly-in, kart and motorcycle racing, vintage cars, street rods, motorcycle displays, model jet displays by NZJMA, Radio Controlled Model aircraft and helicopter rides – plus live music, kids rides and activities, market stalls and food vendors.
What to bring
Bring all the whānau and your neighbours – please note this is a drone, dog and alcohol-free event.
It is recommended guests prepare with the following:
- BYO seating or picnic blanket
- Ear plugs or earmuffs
- Sunglasses or protective eye wear
- Hat, sunblock and water bottle
Food, drinks and treats will be available to purchase at the event. Toilet facilities will be available on site.
Hosted by a collaboration of local clubs and aviation groups, five key players have banded together to create this event in partnership with South Waikato District Council.
