This Thursday 5 March 2026, a South Waikato District Council meeting will consider decisions on behalf of our community. This meeting was initially scheduled for 26 February 2026.

A number of reports will be presented for consideration by Council, including:

• 2026-27 Annual Plan Preparation and Consultation report
• 2026-27 Fees and Charges Report
• Financial Service Report on the financial performance of Council to 31 December 2025.

There is also a Notice of Motion submitted by Cr Thomas and an independent investigator's report pertaining to a Code of Conduct complaint. You can read more about these and the other reports here.

Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting from 9.30am at the Council Chamber in Tokoroa or watch the meeting via live stream by clicking here.

Any member of the public wishing to speak at the Speaker Forum before the meeting commences will need to notify Council by 1PM, Wednesday 4 March in order to be able to speak on the day. Each speaker is permitted up to five minutes to address the Council.
