This Thursday 29 January 2026, a South Waikato District Council meeting will consider decisions on behalf of our community.

This is the first full Council meeting for 2026 and a number of reports will be presented, including:

• District Plan Private Plan Change 5 (PPC5) J & T Quigley Limited
• Request for Change to the South Waikato District Plan – WaiTerra Ltd – Princes St/ Kennedy Drive, Putaruru
• Waikato Waters Ltd - Transfer Agreement

There are also a number of motions submitted by Cr Latinovic for consideration by Council. You can find these motions and the other reports here.

Members of the community are invited to attend the meeting from 9.30am at the Council Chamber in Tokoroa or watch the meeting via live stream by clicking here.

Any member of the public wishing to speak at the Speaker Forum before the meeting commences will need to notify Council by 4PM, Wednesday 28 January in order to be able to speak on the day. Each speaker is permitted up to five minutes to address the Council.
