Level 1 Water Restriction for Tīrau and Arapuni

Council has announced Level 1 water restrictions for Tīrau and urban Arapuni from Monday 22 December. This is due to increased water consumption levels, which is typical of summer months.

What this means for you

At Level 1, there aren't major changes to your daily at-home usage. Sprinklers can only be used between 6am–8am & 6pm–8pm. Handheld watering, including using a hose, is fine at any time.

While there are currently no restrictions in place for the rest of the South Waikato, we're encouraging everyone to be water smart and conserve where possible.

Council will periodically review and communicate any changes to water restrictions.
