Wings and Wheels event to take off in Tokoroa in March 2026
South Waikato District Council will bring Wings and Wheels – a free community event designed to celebrate aviation, motorsport and everything in between – to Tokoroa in March 2026.
Running from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 7 March at Tokoroa Airfield on Moffat Road, Wings and Wheels will be a family-friendly day out that will bring the community together at this unique South Waikato community space.
“This is a great opportunity to connect with the local community and be part of an exciting day celebrating aviation and motorsport in the South Waikato,” says Mayor Gary Petley.
“We’re excited to support an event like this that brings people together and creates opportunities for local vendors, clubs and organisations to be involved.”
The event will feature an aircraft fly-in, a runway vehicle parade, go-karting, motorcycle racing, vintage and street rod vehicle displays, helicopter experiences, market stalls and food vendors. There will also be activities for younger attendees, making it an event the whole whānau can enjoy.
Further details, including a full programme of activities, will be shared closer to the event.
