AGENDA | 29 October Council meeting
The inaugural meeting of the new South Waikato District Council will be held on 29 October, following a swearing in ceremony.
Both the swearing in and meeting will be held at Papa o Te Aroha Marae and are open to the public. Those wishing to attend must be on site no later than 9.45am to ensure they can be welcomed onto the Marae, in line with cultural customs. Those who are not part of the welcoming on will not be able to attend either part of the day.
Please note that due to the venue, this meeting also will not be livestreamed, however a full video of the Council meeting will be made available after the meeting.

10.00am: Pōwhiri
11.00am: Whakawhanaungatanga (Elected Members introduce themselves and whanau)
12.00pm: Lunch
1.30pm: Council Meeting – Elected Member Declarations, Deputy Mayor and Committee Appointments, Chief Executive Briefing on Legislation, and confirmation of the next Council Meeting date
