Workforce Development Strategy Workshop

As part of the ongoing work of Project Phoenix, Council is encouraging local businesses and stakeholders to get involved in an independent study looking at the District’s workforce and training needs.

The work, which has been commissioned by the South Waikato Investment Fund Trust (SWIFT), will be carried out by Veros and aims to develop a clear, evidence-based picture of what local industries need regarding a Workforce Development Strategy for the District.

This information will help education providers deliver the right training, so that both employers and employees in the South Waikato are well supported.

Relevant organisations are encouraged to attend the below workshop.

Workshop details:

• Date: Tuesday 7 October
• Times: 10.00am or 12.30pm (each session runs for 60 - 90 minutes depending on number of attendees).
• Venue: Te Pūkenga Rau facility, 34 Chambers Street, Tokoroa
• Extras: Light snacks will be provided
