Spring Festival cancelled amid poor weather

Council has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s South Waikato Spring Festival due to health and safety concerns linked to forecasted bad weather, which is set to hit Tīrau on Friday.

Many of the festival’s activities and experiences – such as the bouncy castle, lights and laser show – wouldn’t have been able to go ahead safely with rain and wind.

We’re looking forward to bringing more events to Tīrau in the near future, including a soon-to-be-announced Christmas event.
