What is the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee?
The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee is a standing committee to assist and advise the governing body in discharging its responsibility and ownership of governance, risk management and internal control. It also monitors the effectiveness of Council's performance management and performance information and ensures compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
The Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee has an independent Chair, as well as an independent member, who have no vested interest in Council's operations. This ensures impartiality and transparency in the Committee’s decisions and oversight.
