This Wednesday 25 June 2025, a South Waikato District Council meeting will consider decisions on behalf of our community.
Any member of the public wishing to speak at the Speaker Forum before the meeting commences will need to notify Council by 1PM, Tuesday 24 May in order to be able to speak on the day. Each speaker is permitted up to five minutes to address the Council. Requests made after the cutoff date and time are subject to the Chair's discretion.
Among the topics scheduled to be presented to Council and/or discussed are:
- Adoption of the Annual Plan 2025-26 and Setting of Rates Report
- Capital Portfolio Monitoring and Proposed Carry Forwards to 2025-26
- Water Service Delivery Preferred Option Report: Council will be presented with community submissions received during the Consultation period on Council’s preferred Water Service Delivery Option and discuss the proposed model for Water Service delivery for inclusion in Council’s Water Service Delivery Plan.
- Waikato Waters Limited Incorporation Approval: The purpose of this report is to seek approval for Council to become a shareholder in Waikato Waters Limited and to become a signatory to the company’s associated incorporation documentation, subject to Council agreeing to proceed with the Waikato Waters Done Well water services delivery option.
