Putāruru Plan Changes
PUBLIC NOTICE
DECISIONS ON PROPOSED CHANGES 1 (PUTARURU RE-ZONING) AND 2 (INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT) TO THE SOUTH WAIKATO DISTRICT PLAN
The submissions and further submissions received on Proposed Changes 1 and 2 to the South Waikato District Plan have been considered by the Commissioner Panel appointed by Council, and Council’s decision on those submissions has now been released.
The decision can be inspected on Council's website, www.southwaikato.govt.nz, and at:

- Putaruru Public Library, Overdale Street, Putaruru

Public notice is also given under Sections 168(4) and 168A of the Act that Council has withdrawn its notice of requirement D59 for a proposed road to be designated to provide access from Princes Street, Putāruru into new Growth Cell 4 (Business). Establishment of this new route is instead to be implemented via new District Plan rules included in the decision.
Any person who made a submission on the Plan Change(s) may appeal to the Environment Court in respect of Council’s decision, under Clause 14 of the First Schedule to the Act 1991, within
30 working days of service of the notice of decision.

Council has made its decisions on Proposed Changes 1 (Putāruru Growth) and 2 (Infrastructure Management to the District Plan. These Plan Changes must now be regarded as amended in accordance with Council’s decisions on submissions as publicly notified on 27 January 2021. Council’s decisions can be found here. Submitters have 30 working days from 27 January 2021 to lodge an appeal with the Environment Court.
