SWDC acknowledge passing of Kīngi Tūheitia, welcome 8th Māori monarch

On behalf of South Waikato District Council we acknowledge the passing of Kīngi Tūheitia, we look back to his service as the Māori King.

Today we also look forward, we acknowledge the eighth Māori monarch and successor to Kīngi Tūheitia Pōtatau Te Wherowhero VII, Te Arikinui Ngā Wai Hono i te Po.

Our blessing and our prayers go with the new Māori queen.
