There's some wild weather set to hit our District from 6pm today (Saturday), with a heavy rain and thunderstorm watch to be in place for the South Waikato. 50-55 mm of rainfall could hit us over the watch period, with the peak of the weather system set to pass between 3-6AM on Sunday.
If you are able to, it's a good idea to check gutters and make sure outdoor items are secured before the weather hits, while extra care needs to be taken on the roads if you have to leave home.
Remember to call Council on 078850340 for downed trees, surface flooding, slips etc.
