28 August Council meeting deferred
The planned meeting of the South Waikato District Council on 28 August has been deferred to 2 September as Council waits to receive the Auditor General’s independent report on the proposed Long Term Plan 2024-2034, which was due to be put up for adoption at the meeting.
The draft Long Term Plan is required to be presented in conjunction with independent opinion from the Auditor General and Council cannot present the Plan for adoption without this.
Timing of the receipt from the Auditor General is determined by their workload, but Council expects to receive it in advance of 2 September.
The meeting will now be held at the South Waikato District Council Chamber on 2 September from 9.30am, with members of the public welcome to attend in person or watch via livestream.
