The Draft Tokoroa Airport Management Plan and the Draft Tokoroa Airport Strategic Plan are open for public consultation.
The Draft Tokoroa Management Plan, which describes the current use and operation of the airport, was approved for consultation by Council in February 2008. Since that time the Draft Tokoroa Airport Strategic Plan has been developed in consultation with airport users and neighbouring residents and the Draft document was approved by Council on
7 August 2008. The Strategic Plan is a vision of how the airport should be developed in the future recognising a mix of aviation, commercial and recreation activities on the property.
The full Draft Tokoroa Airport Management and Strategic Plans, a Summary of the Strategic Plan and submission forms are available from the Council offices in Tokoroa and Putaruru, Tirau Information Centre (The Dog), from all District Libraries or by clicking the links below.
Submissions on the Draft Tokoroa Airport Management and Strategic Plans can be mailed to South Waikato District Council, Torphin Crescent, Tokoroa or emailed to submissions@southwaikato.govt.nz, to be received by 4.00 pm on Monday 22 September 2008. Submissions will be acknowledged by letter. Should you wish to be heard, a date and time will be allocated and communicated to you. The hearing date is likely to be early October.
