Pool info

The Putāruru War Memorial Summer Pools have been located at Glenshea Park since 1958. The complex was refurbished in 2008/09 and now consists of a main pool 25 x 12.5 meters at a depth of 1.5 meters and a leisure pool that cascades into a toddlers pool. The surrounds include a spectator grandstand, changing rooms with facilities for disabled patrons and a grassed area for picnics and recreation. New pool covers were fitted late in 2009. This proves a popular venue during the warm summer months.

The Tīrau summer pools are located at Goodwin Street reserve, adjacent to the Tīrau Playcentre and Primary School. Built in 1980, the complex contains a 25 x 12 meter outdoor pool and a toddlers pool which was rebuilt in 2009/10. There are shaded spectator bleachers, grassed areas and changing rooms. The complex was fitted with pool covers during the 1999/2000 season.
