Adopt a Dog

Council's Animal Control team manage an Adopt a Dog programme to find new homes for dogs that have a suitable temperament for rehoming.

Criteria apply and there is a re-home fee (see Fees and Charges). All dogs are de-sexed before they leave the Pound at no additional cost to the new owner.

The pound is in Whakauru Street, in Tokoroa. Pound hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
