Putaruru Concept Plan

Putaruru - What's your vision?

Over the coming months, Putaruru residents have an opportunity to help shape the future direction of their town.  The Putaruru Concept Plan is being developed by community members including Anne Edmeades, Howard Goold, Shane McMahon, Annie Waterworth and others.  The group has support from South Waikato District Council and is seeking to identify a shared community vision for Putaruru in ten years’ time.  Previous consultation has identified some ideas, including:

  • More youth activities and events.
  • Better support for parents.
  • A spruce-up for the town.
  • Tackling the graffiti problem.
  • Improved shopping options and business development.
  • Better public transport.
  • Celebrating Putaruru’s schools.
  • Improving Putaruru’s image.

We need YOUR input to ensure Putaruru remains a great place to live.
